The granulosa lutein (gl) and paralutein (pl) cells of the corpus luteum are shown at higher magnification in HA13. Compare this image with HA6 to understand how much the membrana granulosa cells hypertrophy as granulosa lutein cells. These cells are making progesterone and estradiol.
