This micrograph that shows a muscular artery and its accompanying vein (HA21) running in the CT in between skeletal muscles. A number of smaller vessels occur in this image and may be branches of the larger vessels. At low magnification, recall the rule, the lumen of the vein is larger than that of the accompanying artery.
