The epithelium (HA17) includes two intermingled cell types: pale ciliated cells (arrows) and narrow, dark, secretory, non-ciliated peg cells (arrowheads). This combination of ciliated and peg cells in the epithelium provides movement and nutrients for the oocyte or zygote as it travels through the oviduct
