HA3: Kidney, human H&E

It is easy to identify the cortex because it contains all of the renal corpuscles (HA3 arrows). Note that they are found throughout the cortex. They look like small, dark knots, and each contains a capillary bed called the glomerulus (from the Latin for ball of thread) and its surrounding Bowman's capsule.
