HA8: Sublingual gland, H&E

Just above the region of the gland that is entirely mucous (HA6) is Wharton's duct (W, HA8), the secretory duct of the submandibular gland that passes close to the sublingual gland on its way to the oral cavity. The epithelium of this duct is pseudostratified columnar with goblet cells.
