A sweat gland is shown at high magnification in HA6. The secretory portion (s) of the gland (a simple, coiled, tubular gland) is lined by columnar epithelium. A portion of the duct (d) stains more darkly than the adenomere and is lined by stratified cuboidal epithelium. Go back to HA3 and pick out two sweat gland ducts in cross section. Identify myoepithelial cells within the epithelium of the adenomere inside the surrounding thick basement membrane (arrow).
