Home -> Unit 3 -> Bone
Osteoclasts (HA14, arrows) create and occupy depressions in the bone. Due to shrinkage of the tissue, the osteoclasts have pulled away from the bone. Also due to the shrinkage during tissue preparation, you can see the spaces called the lacunae that the osteocytes (top) lived in. Other cells in the suture are fibroblasts, osteoprogenitor cells, macrophages, etc.
