Note the concentric and interstitial lamellae in HA6. Up to 6 layers of concentric lamellae can be seen. The larger Haversian canals reflect the recent removal of bone during remodeling. The cells are removed in the preparation. Dust from the grinding process fill some Haversion canals and most of the lacunae, which held osteocytes.
