In this micrograph, the PAS stain emphasizes the reticular fiber framework (red lines and dots) and outlines the sinusoids particularly well (HA27, s). Note the gaps, in several places, between the endothelial cell nuclei of the sinusoid. These gaps can be large enough for an RBC to pass through.
