Monocytes (HA8) are not as numerous as lymphocytes. Monocytes are large (12-30 ?m in diameter) with rather gray, irregular-staining cytoplasm, and horseshoe-shaped, mottled nuclei. You may see some very fine granules in the cytoplasm of these cells.
