At higher magnification, note the hepatocytes, some of which are binucleated. The cells which look like isolated, miniature unilocular fat cells (arrow, HA5) are lipocytes. These are storage sites for vitamin A in the liver. These are easy to see in the pig liver, but not in the human. Note also the squamous endothelial cells lining the sinusoids (white spaces). You can only make out the flattened nuclei in this image.
