HA6 is a high magnification EM of regularly arranged stacks of RER in two adjacent cells that secrete large amounts of protein. Arrows point to the cell membranes that separate the cells. Note that, unlike the RER, there are no ribosomes attached to the cell membranes. Portions of two mitochondria (m) are also present in this image.
