HA23: Pyloric-duodenal junction, H&E
Tall villi appear in the duodenum (HA23). An arrow indicates the transition point. Large mucous glands (Brunner's glands, HA23, 24 Bg) appear in the submucosa. These glands secrete alkaline mucus.
