This image (HA11) shows another example of the thyroid and parathyroid glands (P). Notice that the follicles are generally smaller and the epithelium slightly taller, almost columnar in appearance. Remember, the height of the epithelium is indicative of the activity level of the particular follicle: the taller the epithelium the more active the follicle.
